Personal training can be intimidating, but working with Mike is the opposite. He listens to your needs and your concerns and creates the perfect work outs for you. He is patient, but also strict enough to make you push your limits. His gym is really well equipped, and it’s a great space to work in. Basically he’s an all round nice guy, with whom you can guarantee great results.

By far the best decision i’ve made in ages, not only am I in the best shape i’ve been in, but I’m excited to train. When I first started with him we chatted about how I wanted to look and why. He then created me a 3 day program which has worked amazing for me. Not wanting to go down the medication route I decided to address my overall lifestyle and fitness, At 57 I hadn’t done any consistent exercise for a long while and was out of breath using the TV remote! I was so scared that I might die during the first session or at the very least throw up in his lovely new gym I nearly cancelled! I started training with Mike when I was in the worst shape of my life. I’ve always been an active person playing many different types of sports. But as you get older your body doesn’t tend to stay the same shape as it was. I was starting to put on weight and lose any muscle I had built up over time. I came to Mike with my goals which was to build muscle and to try and get to a stage where I would be happy to look in the mirror. Mike listened and took in everything that I had asked and set me up with a plan to acheive my goals. After one session with Mike he got me straight away. He knew that I needed pushing , knew I wanted learn and knew how to get the best out of me. I trained with Mike 3 days a week for 3 months and it was the best decision i’ve made. My body shape has changed dramatically and I’m feeling in the best shape of my life. “I originally contacted Mike at the beginning of December as I was due back in town for a few weeks over the festive period. I have trained for over 10 years but have recently decided to change my training style to incorporate more weight resistance and strength training. I ideally wanted Mike to look at my techniques and share his knowledge on how to improve these as well as show me a variety of different movements that would compliment and help me to continue my training and (who am I kidding) ultimately, give me buns of steel! Mike hasn’t just created a gym, he has created a space where I was safe and comfortable, where I could look back at what I have already achieved, figure out what I wanted to achieve going forwards and also have the knowledge of why the workouts/exercises benefit me. Most importantly, he listened. Truly listened to what I wanted and took time over generating workouts that I would enjoy and benefit from. One size does not fit all – a firm belief of his. Mike did all of the above with a calm yet professional approach. I know when I went there, we meant business. I train for myself, for how it makes me feel both inside and out. However, Mike’s nature makes me also want to train for him and to make him proud (I’m a sucker for a sticker chart!)
